About me: I have worked as a carer since 2000 with Southampton City Council, working evenings when my children were younger. When our service changed to Urgent Response I increased my hours and my role is now a Re-hab and re-enablement assistant to promote independence within the home. I love my job and am looking for extra hours to work alongside my present career. I'm now unable to work evenings and that is the only option for increasing my hours in my current role. I am looking for part time work to fit in around this, and I believe that with a PA role I can incorporate this.

Experience: I have 20 years experience as a carer then later on as a Re-hab & re-enablement assistant within the community for SCC gaining an NVQ level 2 in Care. I am part of URS where our aim is to promote independence in Service Users homes, we offer support with personal care and hygiene, preparing food and fluids where necessary or working with them to manage their daily tasks independently. We work with other professional bodies in order to achieve the best possible outcome, I have gained a good training history to enable me to cope with most situations. I am a very motivated and competent individual able to use my own initiative but also work well as a team member. I also have good verbal and written communication skills. I recognise and understand the needs of the people I meet and am capable of giving the right care for each into practise.

Availability information: Presently, my days off are (2 week rota) 1st week Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 2nd week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I am looking for hours to work on my days off around my job with Urgent Response.

Additional Information: I live in Harefield and work mainly in the east of the city. I have often covered west and central so I am knowledgeable within the Southampton area.
