About me: I am a warm, intelligent, inventive and compassionate person who really enjoys bringing laughter and enjoyment into people's lives. I have lots of patience and energy and a cheerful, optimistic attitude. Experience: Companion for spirited lady in her 90s who had become housebound and withdrawn. Over time, through sharing conversation, scrabble, painting, music and laughter her great sense of fun returned. I supported her through unexpected bereavement. Her dream was to drive again and she loved it when we went racing at a challenging indoor go-cart track. Companion for lively lady in her 90s. I took her on long drives to explore favourite places from her childhood so she could relive happy memories. I arranged for her to visit private places she'd dreamed of seeing, and for her to get a medal over tea with the Mayor. Carer/companion for my mischievous elderly father for 15 years, closely monitoring his health, helping him to stay positive and motivated and to have a lot of fun despite serious illness. Companion for man with Parkinson’s, providing stimulation through conversation and laughter. PA for a lady with MS helping her to regain confidence, take exercise and open up her social life.
