About me: I’ve worked in the care industry for the last 18 years. I’ve worked with elderly people, dementia care, people with a physical disability, learning disability, challenging behaviour, disabled children/adults. I have a great understanding of all these areas. I’m a very positive bubbly person with a lot of empathy and compassion and like to make a difference. I left my employment last year to care for a family member on a full time basis. As I am now in a routine, I have time to support others.

Experience: I am skilled in moving and handling, the use of different equipment, first aid, CPR, end of life care, medication, peg care, etc. I am happy to provide respite care, take a break, even for a few hours at a time, preparing, cooking meals, cleaning, personal care, etc. Caring is my professional background but I can help in other tasks like cleaning or dog walking.

Additional information: As I care for a family member, I am able to work 10 hours or less a week.
